Danny Fuchs works with governments, entrepreneurs, investors, and community institutions to enable digital self-determination.

Danny leads the digital opportunity team HR&A, which has helped shape broadband infrastructure investments and digital inclusion programs to reach more than 40 million American households. With a focus on capacity-building for government agencies and creating new public-private partnerships, his clients have included several State Broadband Offices, city, county, and tribal governments, local and national philanthropies, community-based organizations, and innovative equipment manufacturers and startup internet service providers. All of his clients share a mission to close the digital divide.

Danny also serves on HR&A’s Board of Directors and was Managing Partner of the company’s New York office from 2017-2022, when his practice also included tech-driven real estate developments in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Toronto.

From 2014-2017, Danny served as the Founding Director of the Capital Planning Division of the New York City Department of City Planning, where he built the team that created and managed a $1 billion Neighborhood Development Fund, built the Capital Planning Explorer, launched NYC Planning Labs, and developed new data products to reshape the City’s $100+ billion Ten-Year Capital Strategy. He also served as Co-Chair for Core Infrastructure and Services for OneNYC, New York City’s long-term strategic plan.

For nearly 20 years, Danny has been a creative strategist, team-builder, and trusted advisor to municipal governments, infrastructure investors, tech companies, real estate developers, and stewards of public parks. He holds a degree in architecture and urban studies from Yale University.
